Need Help with Bug? Mouse? droppings**UPDATE**
I live in Nassau county and I'm renting a house.
In the kitchen I keep getting these phantom droppings. They are small and black. They are shorter than a fingernail. They LOOK like they COULD be mouse droppings....but they are ONLY in the cabinets. I just dont think we have mice...I woudl have SEEN mice.
I dont think they are mouse droppings.
Any thoughts? help?
UPDATE::
It sure as heck wwas mice. the exterminator laid traps for them. It makes the mice dehydrated so they go OUTSIDE looking for water, and die outside
We were told it would just be 24-48 hours before we see REAL improvement.
Thanks for the advice ladies!!!

Re: Need Help with Bug? Mouse? droppings
You say smaller than a fingernail...that is actually kind of big for mice....I hate to say it but look online to determine if its mice or rats

Re: Need Help with Bug? Mouse? droppings
If it looks like a grain of rice, it's mouse droppings. Sounds like that to me. And don't think you would see them b/c they move quickly when they hear people.
Look in your cabinets and see if there is ANY entry point for a mouse. Could be as small as a dime even. If you cannot find anythign, odds are it isn't mice. But what else could it be? If it's bugs, odds are you would see a live one I would think.

Re: Need Help with Bug? Mouse? droppings
I have a bit of experience with this.. grrr not fun. But, honestly it sounds like mice. I never really saw them. They are noctural. I would try laying a trap and seeing if you catch anything. They are cheap enough to get.

I would bet it's mice. What other kind of droppings do you think it is if not mice? If it's rice sized and black/brown, it's pretty safe to say it's mice.

Totally sounds like mice. I'd just put out a couple of traps and kill the suckers. Don't be surprised if there's more than one. Mice usually live like 3-4 together.
