Need help figuring out rooms...
We are about to close on our second home. It is a large colonial (3850 sq ft with 2000+ sq ft basement). It has four bedrooms upstairs and a maid's quarters downstairs. We are also finishing the basement.
I don't know what room to use for what!!! My husband and I and my 17 month old daughter need a total of two bedrooms upstairs. That leaves two upstairs and the maid's quarters downstairs. Plus we still have a basement.
Where should I put the: -playroom (basement, right?) -exercise room (upstairs or basement?) -my husband's office (maid's quarters because he can make noise when baby is sleeping?)
Any thoughts?

Upstairs MBR- YOU Largest next bedroom - DC Third Bedroom - guest room Fourth bedroom - home office or exercise room
Maid's room - home office or play room
Basement - exercise room or play room
Will you be home with your DC or have at home care? I would want to be on the same level as the child. I think if they are older 4+ I would be fine with having the playroom in the basement. Is there a way out of the basement besides the stairs?
