Need Disney help too

We are going to Disney world in May for 5 days - we are going with 5 adults, 1 4.5 year old boy, and 2 2.5 year old boys. We are staying at the polynesian

We are planning on going to the magic kingdom the day we get there, but I am not sure what to do about dinner. Right now we are supposed to have dinner at Chef Mickey's at 5:30 but I am not sure if I should just get a reservation at the magic kingdom. I cannot get a reservation Ohanna

I have lots of character meals already planned - almost one a day - breakfast early at the parks

I have a reservation at the be our guest restaurant for dinner for the other day we are going to magic kingdom - do you think it is ok for 3 little boys

What about crystal palace, liberty tree or plaza restaurant. What time does your flight land? If you take a very early flight you might want to skip the sit down the first night bc if you are up at 3, or 4 am you might want to hit the MK then head back for an early bedtime so that you will be able to get up early for rope drop you 1st full day. Don't forget anywhere you have an ADR for now means -if you cancel the day of your ADR you will be charged $10 pp penalty. All week is easier bc you can cancel the night before but arrival day can be tough to know how you will feel. Your flight might run late etc. It used to be easier before the credit card guarantee. If you miss any of your ADRs or do not cancel by the night before you will be charged $80.

I am sure you already know but have you been following all the construction info going on at the Poly so there are no surprises when you arrive (I.e. Captain cooks temporary closing, etc). Tiki man has updates on FB I believe.

We will be there in May too. Are you ready to make your FP+ selections? I know my 60 day window is coming up soon.

The new 7 dwarfs mine car ride should be opening the first week of May.

Be Our Guest is cute. We did lunch not dinner. Have you looked at the menu? Not an issue for us but many kids do not like the menu as it is not the typical kids meals. More healthier options some say. The beast does walk around and does some pictures at the exit. I would keep it as long as the menu is ok. The restaurant is fun.

Re: Need Disney help too

I think the breakfast character meals are great with little kids because it starts the day off.

Getting to a 5:30 dinner at the Contemporary-Chef Mickey isn't difficult when it's adults. However, with little kids whole process of leaving the park, getting on the monorail, and eating dinner can be exhausting (at least for me lol). If you were then planning to go back to the hotel after, I would say that would work...but if you want to push for more time in the park, not sure I would leave for Chef Mickey, as you want to spend time there. The kids may not transition well back to the park ?

Crystal Palace is a nice option if the kids would enjoy the Winnie the pooh gang :)

She could walk to chef mickeys from the MK but I agree it will be tiring for the kids.
