Yesterday I took DD for her 15 month visit. She's 32 1/2 inches long and 19 lbs 14 oz. She grew 2 inches since Jan. Anyway, while the doctor was examining her mouth, she noticed that DD is developing an overbite and asked if she uses a binky. I said yes but for naps and bedtime only, it helps her fall asleep. She suggested that I try and wean her off of it. I also noticed that when DD makes certain sounds, she's pressing her tongue against the back of her teeth and it sounds like she has a lisp. So I'm also thinking that is also a part of her developing an overbite.

I'm wondering when you were weaning you DC's off the binky, how long did you let them cry it out when you went cold turkey. DD's been in her crib for about an hour and she's been crying and screaming. She'll have her moments that she'll quiet down, but then she'll start all over again.
