Nassau County Firefighters Museum
Has anyone been? Would a 5 year old boy enjoy it? I can't tell from the website what there is to do there. How interactive is it? Would you recommend it? Looking for things to do out of the heat. Thanks!

Yes.
It's really perfect.
Very interactive & lots of trucks to climb in "smoke" to crawl under, teaches how to call 911.
It is just one huge room & should take an hour to do thoroughly.
Had my kids birthday there: we had ages 1-6. All kids enjoyed.

Nassau County Firefighters Museum
My ds is 3 and he loved it. So did all his friends ages 1-6. It clean and they have alot of interactive things. It's a nice half day thing to do.

my 3 year old ds LOVED it! We loved it too because it was a fun way to talk to him about fire safety- he learned a lot and had a great day. totally recommend it

Yes, it's cute, but it's not huge and wouldn't take more than an hour (max two) to get through. We did that, plus LICM and the air museum.
