I have been to one. Only worth it if you have nothing else to do and have projects that you need to do around your home that you MAY want to get ideas from there, or meet with vendors (such as windows, siding, sunrooms, brickwork or pool work, etc).

Re: Nassau Coliseum Home Show

We usually pop by the show in Brentwood instead. It's smaller but cheaper to attend. We stopped by the Nassau show a few years ago and the entry cost is deceptive - in addition to the fees stated in the papers, Nassau adds an entertainment fee of a few dollars, and they were charging $6 to park. Even with coupons, what we thought would be a modest fee of under $10 ended up costing over $20 just to walk in the doors - a rip off IMO just for the opportunity to do some research.

Not worth it unless you just want a list of vendors to do some work for you.... which you could easily find out on the internet for free.

We always can get in free but never bother going.

Re: Nassau Coliseum Home Show

We went a few years back, and I was very disappointed. It wasn't what I thought it would be. I thought I'd be able to get decorating ideas there, but it was just a bunch of vendors trying to sell their services and products.
