Name Idea... need opinions
We're not finding out the sex, but my husband really likes the name Jacen. (it's a star wars thing).
What are your opinions? I don't mind it, but everyone tends to mess up our last name so i feel like giving the poor kid a first name that people could mess up too, is just too much.  I can just see people pronouncing it like Jay-ken instead of Jay-son, you know?
Am i being silly? I need HONEST opinions here (even if you hate it). Thanks girls!

So you pronounce it like "jason"? If so, maybe if you still want to use it but want a funky spelling, maybe do the Jayson spelling how you showed? It's a cute name and a different spelling would be cute, but I think Jacen could be messed up often (although what name couldn't, really)?

Well then if you both like it, do it! Again, people could mess up commonly spelled names too.

Well i'm torn. I also like another name too. I just wanted some thoughts on Jacen first.

That was one of my hesitations with Kiera. I was nervous that people were going to spell it and say it wrong. And people do. But you get used to it. And people will learn how to say it. I say go for it if you both like it. I don't hate the name or the spelling.

I like the name Jason, but I worry about the kid having to correct every single document that he ever receives in his lifetime with the correct spelling. But if you like it, its great!!!

I guess I am the minority but I don't like the spelling. When I first read the post I had no idea how to pronounce it. I was thinking Ja-ken. I am all for different spellings but that is too different for my taste. (My DD is Hayley..we get Haley and Hailey)
But if you two like it then that is all that matters

Nah you're not in the minority because i don't even know where i stand on it!  I'm worried about the spelling too! Thats why i was asking for opinions.
