Name for our board?
I know it was discussed at the IF GTG the possibility of changing the name of our board. Can you please give me a suggestion or two and I can do a poll to find out what the new name should be- otherwise if it seems as though one particular name seems to be the first choice of most, I can let LIF know. TIA!

LOL- I knew that was going to be the first question!  My brain is completely fried right now... I had a really bad day yesterday into today and I can't remember anything at the moment. 
I'm hoping some of the others who were there will help me out with this. I got an FM about it, that's why I posted it this morning...
We can do something like Fertility Challenges or something with the word Fertility in it or we can do something with TTC for longer than X months or something different all together.

Oh, okay! I understand.
I would love a board called TTC over 12 months. Although I think naming it that might give it a different set of posters than the IF board might normally have.
I guess because I always felt I couldn't post on here until we had been trying for 12 months and were seeing a doctor for help - or if we were going through IUI or IVF.
Maybe TTC with IUI, IVF, or Medical Assistance? That's what they have on FF.
Or Fertilty Support Board?
I have no clue!

I think it's a good idea to rename the board and get some new posters on here. I feel like i'm in limbo between TTC and IF because while we have been trying for a long time, I feel like the IF board is mostly IVF related. And TTC is au naturale.

Just curious why you feel that way? Once I started on this path (almost a year before moving to IVF), I started posting here, because I felt I'd get more support and have my questions answered here better than on TTC.

Just to clarify -
Infertility is trying to conceive with assistance.
It's not just IVF and there are plenty of people on here that are just taking Clomid or doing natural IUI's - either of those are far beyond normal TTC.
I think I feel the opposite of some, I prefer less unnecessary traffic. It's hard enough to keep track of the people on here and if we start getting people who are just asking about OPK's or other TTC questions it's going to get EXTREMELY confusing.
To me - people know to come over here and ask questions when they aren't getting answers from their regular OB/GYN.
Sorry if I offend anyone with the statements....

But you are not in limbo...you are seeing an RE, taking injectables and doing IUI - definitely infertility treatments....TTC is just that - having sex to get PG.

I'm in agreement with Gerty. I wasn't the one to address this at the GTG but I think Infertility is appropriate. It's what our doctors are calling it, and what I've never had an issue with calling it. But I got the FM and knew others wanted it changed, so I'm just passing it along.

I agree.
I always thought of the clinical definition of IF - the inability to conceive after one year of well-timed intercourse.
And never really wanted to post here before that time.
I think maybe a change in the TTC board would be better.
I do think there would be some benefit maybe to an added board of TTC over 6 months or something like that... since I do feel there is a stage knid of between JUST TTC and actual Infertility.
But as I've said on TTC, then I think there would be way less traffic on both TTC boards
I'm still a "newbie" here so I know my say doesn't have as much weight, but these are just my opinions!

I agree 100% my DH and I have only been trying since the end of July but I have PCOS and went straight to an RE b/c it was never going to happen the natural way. I am doing clomid, trigger shot and an IUI.
I feel most comfortable here and get all my questions answered here. I love the IF girls.

I agree. I never did IVF - I was clomid/IUI and was on the board for over a year. I never felt out of place, I felt very supported. I think the name is appropriate and shouldn't change.
