Dh's biggest pet peeve is when we go to the supermarket, pharmacy ,or any store and people donot have thier money out of thier purse.
It's like they are surpised they have to pay and you have to wait while they are fumbling 
I hate people that block the EZ pass lanes on the tolls because they are trying to cut in fron of everyone waiting in the cash lanes!
Drives me crazy!
ETA-
Living in Queens parking is challenging around my neighborhood-
I HATE when people are oblivious and take up 2 spots with thier car

I hate when people say
"A whole nother" instead of "another" or "a whole other." The dictionary says: that it is an "alteration (from misdivision of another) of other." I don't care what the dictionary says, it irks me.
I also hated when people called one of our former presidents, Ronald Reagan, Ronald REGAN. Shoot, I'm not even a Republican, but the man was president for 8 years, get it right.

At work - blind transfers. How hard is it when you are transfering someone that before you transfer you say "I have so and so on the line for you can you take their call?" I can't stand being caught off guard and then having to ask the caller "who are you" I get incredably annoyed at blind transfers.
When I talk and someone asks me "are you from Boston" How the heck does a NY accect sound like a Boston accent?
Another work pet peeve. When someone calls and tells me they want to go somewhere, sometime, but they dont know for how long, how many people but it needs to be someplace warm.
Someone who calls me every 5 minutes because I didnt pick up my phone the first time. Then they email me telling me they are trying to call me. Then call my boss who doesnt answer her phone, then email her telling her they are trying to reach me. When i finally get through to them I get "oh I just wanted to let you know I got what you sent me"
Work: When I have a client who calls me, gets my voicemail, calls the receptionist and tells her "it's an emergency I need to talk to her" And turns out it's the farthest thing from an emergency. I am sorry how many pieces of luggage are you allowed for your cruise that is 5 months away is not an emergency.

When people leave ONE cracker in the box and put it back. What is the matter? You couldn't eat just one more tiny Cheeze-IT and throw out the box?????
Or what about when my dh puts the half&half away and leaves only a teeny drop in there? I ask him why he does this, and he says to remind me to get more. W*T*F is that???

When people use the exit only lane to pass everyone and then they try and cut in front of us nice patient people. ERRRR.
Also, hate when people don't alternate lanes when merging. We are supposed to take turns, didn't we all learn that in kindergarten????

I totally hate that too. So gross. just yesterday I actually saw this old lady (in her 70s) at work spit. Very agressively too. She is so sweet and mildmannered so it was very weird to see.

I hate when people sneeze like four times in a row... Weird I know... it just annoys me so much.
a lady i work with does this, she sneezes about 6times in a row really fast and high pitched. i wanna smack her in the head when she does this

Uh oh, I'm guility of this..but I also get calls transferred from the switchboard line since they fired the operators.

2. When people refer to their possessions by the brand name. For example, "Can you hand me my Coach bag" or I'll ask, "Are we taking my car?" She'll answer, "No, we'll take my Escolade". WHATEVA!!!!!

Calling a place/company to ask a question and not be able to get a live person on the phone!!
When someone leaves a voice message on my phone and say I need to talk to you, call me asap and then when I call they don't pick up the phone!! I hate that because I always think the worst and get worried. It usually turns out to be something stupid.

when someone starts to tell you something and then says "oh forget it"..
also people who when on a line at a store, when another cashier opens and says "next in line step over" and the person next does not want to (always seems to happen) who jump over from the back of the line without asking if anyone before them wants to go..(or gives them a chance to)

When people park in "privileged parking" ya know the spot next to the door of the store while they wait for someone to come out of the store in a place clearly marked NO STOPPING OR STANDING FIRE ZONE

I can't believe how many pet peeves I read where I was shaking my head saying "Me too! I thought I was the only one!!!!!"
When people make noise as they sit down or get up - like "AHHHHHH". My FIL does this and it drives me crazy.
the use of "like" - so I was like - and then she was like - and I was like. HATE IT.
And this one is a little extreme on my part, but it drives me crazy - my students know how much I hate it. . . it's a grammar thing:
"People THAT drive" it should be "People WHO drive." the use of THAT is reserved for inanimate objects. I hear this mistake on the television, in presidential speeches, in newspapers - drives me batty!

Spitting, grabbing at groin area (usually done my men), pulling out wedgies (atomic or otherwise), urinating in public (saw this once on Woodhaven Boulevard), picking one's nose, cleaning one's ears with a paperclip...the list is endless.
Forgot my favorite - waiting for the arrow to turn green and the first car doesn't move and you get stuck until the next arrow. WHAT COLOR ARROW WOULD YOU LIKE IT TO BE FOR YOU TO MOVE!!!.

I hate this too. It drives me nuts. I also hate rubbernecking, especially when the accident happened on the opposite side of the highway. People act as if they've never seen an accident before.

something that happened to DH and I yesterday. when you walk on a narrow sidewalk and people expect you to stop and hug the side because they can't be bothered walk in single file  so rude!
