Nail polish
Is it unsafe to paint your nails while pregnant? I dont meaning going to a salon to get them professionally done, I mean, just painting your nails at home.

The only concern with nail polish is breathing in the fumes. So it's perfectly safe to do, just try to do it near an open window or a big room.

Oh ok! Thanks. I thought it had something to do with the nail polish penetrating into your nails or something like that. Good to know, thanks again!

I had read somewhere that there is some belief that the Toluene, Formaldehyde and DBP (aka phylate) in nail polish may cause birth defects. Also the fumes are not good. There are tons of women who used regular nail polish throughout their pregnancies with no issues but I used Toluene, Formaldehyde and DBP free nail polish while preggo because I figured it wasn't worth the risk.
