MySpace question
I've gotten two friend requests in two days from people I don't seem to know. I don't see any reason they would request me as a friend, and I'm suspicious. One of them is 10 years younger than me and I thought she might be a friend of one of my nieces or nephews but she doesn't seem to be. The other one has her profile set to private and her picture doesn't look familiar.
When you go to the Friends section, you can choose to send them a message. Which I would, but I know that if my profile is set to private, they can't send me a message back if they're not in my friends list, right?
I don't want to approve someone for the hell of it and find out they're a spammer.

I don't approve anyone that I don't know. I get friend requests all the time, from strangers. Just deny them!!

they are just spammers.... i get it all the time.. if they request you again send a message back... they can still message you if they are not on your friends list. good luck

Even though your profile is private, you can still send them a message without accepting them as a friend.
I have had similar happne to me & my profile is private. Most of the time, it was spammers. I just delete.
