mymonthlycycles

I joined my monthly cycles.......really to keep track of my ovulation, based on the info they collected from me the actual day of my period was 2 days later than they actually predicted which in turn causes the dates of ovulation/most fertility to be off . should I just push the dates they predicted to 2 days later? do i make sense?

Re: mymonthlycycles

Are you entering in the date that your actual period comes? The predictions should adjust themselves once you enter in your AF date.

Keep in mind that if your cycle isn't exactly the same amount of days each month, the website is giving you an AVERAGE of when you might ovulate. It is by no means to be taken more seriously than a calculated prediction.

If you really want to pinpoint your O date, your best bet is to try using OPKs, CBEFM, or temping/charting. It would also be good to pay attention to your CM.

Re: mymonthlycycles

I've been using that site since January, its great for someone like me with a long cycle......once you start tracking it every month it will be more accurate.

Re: mymonthlycycles

FYI..
I have been on this website for about a year. My average was 32 days but last month I had a 28 day cycle. I don't think that it adjusted for my the shortened cycle. I have the CBEFM and I ovulated about 4 days earlier than it said I would on the website.
If I would have went by the website I would have missed my chance.

I will always follow up with the fertility monitor or OPK now because of this.

It's important to remember that the websites are just going by averages.

For example, the "average" woman has a 28 day cycle and ovulates on day 14. BUT - in real life, many women who have a 28 day cycle can ovulate on day 13 or day 15 or 16 or 17. You get the idea.

It's only going based on a certain LP, which not everyone has.

It's always best to use OPKs or temping or the CBEFM since they are basing their calculations on your body's hormones instead of just numbers and averages.

Re: mymonthlycycles

i agree with maybeamommy about mymonthly cycles being average, and not is not 100% accurate..

but i use this site and it got me pregnant the first time... i just made sure i BD'ed the days around when it said i was fertile..

but if you really wanted to pinpoint ovulation, then you should use the OPK's !
