Mycoplasma pneumonia
Anyone's child ever have this? Aka walking pneumonia. She's been sick for a week, ped ruled out strep, ear infection, urinalysis was ok. The fevers progressed over the weekend to 104. Took her to ER, and they diagnosed it via blood work and chest X-ray. They also did flu, strep tests and urinalysis again today, all fine. How long did it take for fever to stop? Any complications ?

Re: Mycoplasma pneumonia
I had this in fifth grade but it went undiagnosed for six months, and really damaged my lungs. I think if you catch it sooner than my parents and my doctor did you will have fewer side effects, once diagnosed it took three weeks to get better..

Re: Mycoplasma pneumonia
I had it at age 4. No complications and no side effects. I have no lung issues from it.
Hope your DD feels better soon!
