My week in review
So, I went to the Letterman show on Monday and ended up running up the stairs for the train and being totally winded. Didn't think anything about it.
Tuesday at work - I was standing talking to a coworker, laughed at something and felt warmth between my legs. It felt wierd, I thought maybe I pee'd myself a little and went into the bathroom. There was a whole lot of blood in my underwear and my pants.
Immediately called Dr., who told me to come right over. Took me right in (I love Dr. Leo) and did an internal...cervix is high and closed, checked for heartbeat, nice and strong. He then called Madonna and made them see me right away just to be sure. Everything looked good...Petri looks fine, placenta is fine, cervix is high and closed. No explanations for the lots of bright red blood.
I was put on four days of bed rest and can start to do stuff again tomorrow....the bleeding stopped by Wednesday and is not just brown staining....Monday, I go back to work and Friday I go back to Dr.
The biggest scare of my life - I prayed the whole way to the Dr......and am definitely taking it easier from now on. Dr. said the train running had nothing to do with it, but I'm not so sure.

Oh Gerty I am so sorry! The same thing happened to me when I was 8 weeks along - I was sitting in my car and felt something sticky - went to the bathroom and I have NEVER seen so much blood in my life.
I was crying all the way to the doctor and thought for sure I miscarried. But the little  is doing fine and the doctor said it may have been caused by an increase in progesterone. Try to rest and take it easy for the next few days! I am sure you and your baby will be fine!!!

OMG you must have been a wreck! I'm so glad to hear that everything is okay and that the little bean is in good shape. I had a similar experience at about 7w. Not just a little blood either, but like pouring blood...I was sure it was all over as soon as I saw it, but now I am 30w today and ginormous.

I'm so glad to hear everything's ok. I'm due the day after you and had a similar situation last week but not as extreme. It was raining out and I didn't have an umbrella so I ran from work to the car, as soon as I got home and went to the bathroom I was spotting (barely at all but there was blood) I went to the doc and everything was ok but I definitely think there is a correlation between over exerting yourself and spotting. Take care of yourself!

 wow that must have been super scary 
I'm glad everything is ok! I had a bright red spotting and a clot at about 5 weeks.... it scared me to death.... but the little sac was still there and seemed like it was still attached.
We're finding out on monday if everything is ok (the 8 week sono)
