My update...Updated Again
It seems I am having a threatened miscarriage or at least thats what the er is calling it. Everything was going well, I was having very little spotting, brown always and only like an hour after I would use the progesterone but not always so when I called they said it could be from that. My numbers were rising so well so no one thought there would be a problem. Last night at 7:30 I went to bathroom and blood was just pouring out of me (tmi), of course I freaked and called emergency line and they said come in tomorrow for bloodwork. My dh wanted to go to er so we did. I have no cramping at all then or now. St. Charles ran my blood and it came back at 18,922 from 9k on Monday. They said that was a good sign and the sono showed one sac but its too small to really see anything since I am only 5 weeks. The other good thing they say is that my cervix is closed. I went to re this am and gave them hospital paperwork and now I am just waiting for the Dr to come in and review. I don't know what to think, this will be my 2nd miscarriage. I don't understand why this is happening.
UPDATE: The blood test from my re came back. They didn't test the beta because it was done the night before so I have to go back Monday for that, however they said my progesterone went from a 10 to a 9. The dr did change my progesterone suppositories to POI and crinone at night so they want to test that again Monday since I started taking it after the blood test was done. The thing is, I don't know when it was a 10, I cant tell if the hopital tested it and it was 10 and dropped to 9 or if it was a 10 on Monday when my beta came back at 501. Isn't that extremely low?? Why wouldn't they be concered on Monday then? I'm so confused. The bleeding was off on yesterday but very light and now it seems to be just brown. I'm afraid it was to low all along and they couldnt see the yolk sac or anything. I'm 6 weeks today and have a sono on Wed so hopefully they can see something then. I still having morning sickness so I am hoping that is a good sign. Thank you for all the prayers!

Don't give up hope yet. 5w is to early to see anything yet. When I was going through my 3rd MC there was someone on the board that was telling me they bled through there first trimester and everything turned out fine. Try not to do much other then go to work if you have to, but once you get home relax and but your feet up.

Re: My update...
Not cramping is a really good sign. I had spotting at almost 7 weeks and was sure it was over. I would cry hysterically before every weekly sono at the RE convinced it would be bad news. The truth is there is so much going on in our bodies the blood could be from so many different things. Praying hard things work out

Re: My update...
Many prayers for you! Bleeding does not always mean miscarriage. When I was pregnant with DC#1, I had a lot of bleeding around 6 weeks. It was like a heavy period with clots and everything, but I did not miscarry.
Bleeding is very scary, but it doesn't always mean miscarriage. I pray that miscarriage is not the case for you.
You also might want to switch to PIO instead, this way you aren't irritating the cervix at all with suppositories.

Re: My update...
I agree with the PP's that since they saw a sac and that your numbers are that high (and increasing) that it doesn't mean you are miscarrying. The no cramping thing is a good sign. You could possibly have a cyst that has ruptured and is draining.
Are you still bleeding??

My bleeding slowed down before i left er last night and i really only saw blood when i wiped. As of about an hour ago its almost gone and is starting to turn brown. Im scared bc they didnt see yolk sac or fetal pole but my re said im still very early so i shouldnt worry about that. Still no cramping, i just wish we knew what was going on. Thank you for the prayers everyone!

Re: My update...
sorry to hear but theres def no reason to assume its over at this point - especially if they saw a sac and your numbers are good and its only 5w. most doctors wont even do a sono that early specifically because it's 50-50 on how much you will actually see.

Re: My update...
i think that if your beta keeps rising, it is a good sign. at 5 w, it is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to early to see pole, everything looks blurry even with most precise machines. I am hoping your bleeding is just a sign of embryo getting comfy in the uterus

Re: My update...
5 weeks is way early, but to me it sounds like it could be some kind of blood clot. I would not give up hope.
Monday I had the same thing happen, blood just pouring out, i was sure I lost both babies, but the sono showed them moving all around. There is hope.
Who is your RE?

Re: My update...
Dr. K took me off the prog supp and put me on poi in the am and crinone? in the evening. He did more bloodwork and wants to keep sono for wed since its to early to see anything. i was at dr and pharmacy so I started bleeding again, not enough to go on the pad but enough on the tp. Still no cramping but I am still freaking out about this. I wont know bloodwork resullts until tomorrow and I guess we will know more from there if my levels went down and then I will have to wait until Wed for a sono. Hopefully this stops by then

Re: My update...
At 16 weeks I gushed bright red blood (TMI). Soaked my pants, looked like a massacre in the bathroom. I of course thought the worst (who wouldnt?!). Went to the ER and there was DS floating around in there. I had a fibroid breakdown which is what caused the bleed. By the time I left the hospital it had subsided.

Re: My update...
Just wanted to say that my thoughts are with you and to not give up hope at this point. Many people bleed early in pregnancy for reasons other than m/c. I hope everything works out for you.
