My team green baby is here
And it's a girl!!!
Tuesday I woke up feeling very crampy. I had a doctor appointment that afternoon anyway so I stayed home from work. Just pain and cramps all day. Found out from the doctor I was 2 cm dilated. Made an appointment for the next week.
That night I woke up around 2am with contractions. I timed them but they were pretty irregular for a couple of hours. By 9am they started to become more regular , around 4-5 mind apart. I told DH to bring DS to my mom's. While he did that I cleaned up the house, folded some laundry and made sure the hospital bag was ready. By the time he got back my contractions were 3-4 mins apart. I called my doctor and she said we could go to the hospital.
After filling out paperwork they put me on the monitor. Doctor came to do an internal so they could decide if they were going to admit me. While doing the internal my water broke. At that point I was. 4cm.
I got settled in l&d They gave me pitocin because the contractions weren't very regular. Finally after 5 hours in l&d I was ready to push. After 45 minutes of pushing my baby girl was here! Julianna Agnes arrived at. 6:33 pm. 7 lbs 3 oz, 19 in by vbac.
I wish I could say by vbac was a complete success. Unfortunately during pushing I ruptured the scar from my csection. The doctor spent quite awhile examining me and determining what to do. They decided to keep me in l+d to monitor me. There was a chance I might need surgery to repair the incision.
I was in the hospital 3 nights total being monitored and recovering. Since the c/s scar was healing again, the doctor said it was like I was recovering from a c/s and a vaginsl delivery. The first two days were so rough. Just like with my. C/s I couldn't walk and moving hurt. Finally feeling much better. However , the doctor told me that due to the rupture any more pregnancies I have will have to be a csection.
Baby girl is doing great !! She's spoiled already. I was so convinced I was having a boy that I didn't even think of anything girl related!
