My skin is a mess, help!!!!
I'm so broken out!! Its just awful. I always had bad skin, and usually use murad or prescription cleansers. Now that I stopped using them, my skin went crazy. I have just been using cetaphil. Is there anything out there that is safe and has been working for anyone. TIA

my skin was horrible in the first trimester and improved a lot towards the middle of second... if you go to a dermatologist, he can give you erythromycin gel, which is safe during pregnancy. however, i used it for a few weeks and found that it really didn't help much - all hormones!

I could've written this post word for word. Everytime I look in the mirror I want to cry. I'm dreading school starting this week (I'm a teacher) bc of this. I don't want to go anywhere bc I'm so embarassed. I'm also using Cetaphil & it's not helping at all. I miss my Proactiv!

i feel your pain! trader joes has a skin care line with tea tree oil in it which is safe to use. i buy the face wash and the cleansing pads. that has been one of the only products ive used that actually does something! good luck- it does get a little better in the second tri!

I was told Proactiv and Murad are both ok. Ask your dr.

My dr said that benzoyl peroxide was okay to use and that salicylic acid was not okay to use.

My skin is a mess too (it has calmed down a little since the first trimester though). I use prescription Finacea gel and Erythromycin pads to try and keep it under control. I used them with my last pregnancy too, they are a few of the approved rx meds.
ETA: I also use the Belli face wash.
