My poor DH
I'm sorry to post this here because it's probably not even the right board for it -- but all of you are the ones who I feel the closest with.
I'm so worried about my husband. Last night he started trembling really bad in the middle of the night and was getting really bad pains in his legs. He kept asking me why it was so freezing and meanwhile it was warm in the room because my FIL keeps turning the heat up and he was sweating like crazy.
Plus he has bad asthma and was having the hardest time breathing no matter how many times he took his medicine. Then this morning he took his temp and at that point it was 101.6 -- and he was also starting to throw up.
I made an appt for him to go to the DR and my FIL just called me saying that the dr wants him to go to the hospital so he's taking him now. HIs temp is now over 102 despite the fact that he took 2 motrin before he left for the dr an hour ago and she wants to run x-rays/blood work on him.
He had Guillian-Barre syndrome back in 1995 and he was paralized from the waist down for 5 months and had to go through rehab to learn how to walk again. He was just reading an article to me the other day that he found online on the GBS site about how only 5% of people who have GBS have the type he had but that his type is the most likely to come back -- and people say it starts with bad pains in the legs, and I know when he first got it it was also accompanied with a bad cold.
My FIL is on his way home to watch Emily so I can go up to the hospital.
I'm probably just over-emotional and worrying too much, maybe it's just the flu and he'll be okay, but I'm so worried right now.

Thank you everyone. They think he might have Pneumonia or the Flu but they are still running tests to figure out what it is. They said the severe leg pain could have been beacuse he had such a high fever -- and when he gets high fevers it usually makes his legs hurt since the GBS, but this just hurt so bad because the fever was so high. He does have to stay in the hospital for a few days so I'm hoping that everything works out. I'm going to miss him on Emily's first thanksgiving. As it is we weren't going to my family's house so I'm really sad that I won't be having it with family this year. It'll just me me, Emily and Bill's dad. At least his dad will be there and EMily and I won't be alone.
