My NikonD40 is taking blurry pics
What am I doing wrong? or what could I be doing wrong?

sorry for crashing, but do you have it on "M" instead of "A" (the little switch right by the lens)?
Try switching it to A if it's not on that already

it was on the M
I started to play with it and the only setting I am not getting blurry pics is the portrait button

M = Manual
A= Auto
Also be sure the dial on top is on Auto too.
