My nerves are shot...
Going forward, each week I have to conduct a meeting with 25 people in the Americas, and 150+ overseas...today was my first time, and I was a wreck the past few days just thinking about it...now that it's over...I'm freaking out about next week!
Everyone commended me, but it's not worth the nausea!
I believe I'm a great speaker and have a natural ability when it comes to public speaking, but this is soooooo intense...the amount of information that I have to know is obscene!

Wow - that is quite an accomplishment and you should be really proud of yourself!!! I used to have weekley meetings with just my department when i worked at goldman and i would be a wreck thinking about the 2 minutes I had to talk about what i had worked on for the week!

The extent sounds amazing, Christine. Good luck. I greatly appreciate what you are going through.
I've had to give presentations to 100s, including my bosses in the audience, and the President in the audience. As well as sales presentations to already-skeptical audiences. I never got over the anxiety of it, even if I did well.
The things we go through for our companies....... 
Hope you get at least some good feelings out of it! Hugs..

Thank you ladies...thanks so much for the words of encouragement and hugs....I'm just worries that this feeling won't surpass and I'm going to be freaking out EVERY week before this meeting!

People are so surprised when they hear I have a fear of public speaking. I've gotten 1000x better though.
It takes some time, but you'll be fine!!

First off, kudos to you! You must feel great knowing that management thinks you are capable of pulling off a weekly meeting with almost 200 people.
I had to give a presentation ONCE to about 50 of my company's clients and I STILL remember how nervous I was.
I am sure that over time it will be less nerve-wrecking as you become more familiar with the setting and what is expected of you.

Good luck and congrats on the meeting you already conducted. I am sure that as you host more and more you will become confident and those silly nerves will go away. Remember you wouldn't have the responsibility if management didn't think you could!

I worked for Dale Carnegie(today is my last day) You should look into their High Impact Presentations Class-it is SOOOO helpful. You actually get videotaped and then go into a private room with an instructoor. It makes it very scientific. There are other vendors out there too but this is the specialty of DC. We are a vendor on here
