My labor story...
So this is how it happened. Woke up May 24th and headed to work. At 12:23, I was heading to the bathroom to relief my bladder, when I felt a trickle before I even got there - my 1st thought "damn, I can't hold my urine now!?". When I was over the toilet, I checked my flow come down, and it was MUCH thicker than usual, and I thought immediately "oh my God, is that my water breaking?", and then denial immediately set in. As I started to pull my maternity pants back up, more trickled down, and denial went out the window... it's TIME!
My manager was waiting for me in the hallway, because we were gonna meet with an agency for lunch. She said "ready?", and I was like "yea, but not for lunch... I think my water just broke". Her & another colleague stared at me like "you serious!? But you're so calm...". Honestly, I was, because I didn't know WHAT to do! lol I was like in shock. Imagine, I expected to go until the end, but here I was 38 weeks, 4 days along, and the bean wanted OUT.
Anyway, after calling what felt like 200 people, and trying to grab what I could in the office, and DH completely bugging out being SUPER DUPER nervous (lol), I was put in a company cab and was home by 1:15. DH met me there, and I showered (I was NOT going to go to the hospital all icky and with "wet" clothes!), grabbed my hospital bag (thank God it was packed!) and he & I headed to the hospital. I was admitted right away (at 2pm) with 2cm dilated & very light contractions. To make a long story short, the pain was HORRIBLE, and I only got halfway (5cm) when the doctor was worried about the babies heart rate dropping. They got it back up, and tried to keep it there, but it went back down, and the doctor said I needed an emergency c-section. I was prepped, and wheeled into the OR, and the baby was out at 8:32pm.
Weighed in at 7 lbs, 7 oz, and 20" long.
The whole experience seems surreal to me still, but that's pretty much how it went. I had to get the epidural, and stayed at the hospital for 4 days. Recovery for me hasn't been 100%, but I don't care as long as Justin is healthy!

Thanks so much for sharing this.
I'd probably freaked out as well and not acted as calm as you did even if I knew what I had to do.
Your baby is gorgeous and all that hair...OMG....what a cutie !!!
