My Good News at 44....UPDATE
Well ladies...after two failed IUI's, one failed IVF and two chemical pregnancies...it looks like I am pregnant at 44.2 from my second IVF cycle!!! Me...with an FSH of 18.2 and at this age. I just hope and  that this is my take home baby!!
Of course...nothing can be simple and I've now had 3 betas as it seems like I may have had a vanishing twin initially and my betas started off a bit wonky. Thankfully, they have increased within normal range...so...FX..and knock on wood...things look promising!! I've never gotten this far before. In the past...once I have seen a BFP on an HPT, within a day or two beta's confirmed that it was all taken away from me...so..I am cautiously optimistic.
Next step is an u/s in about a week and half. Babydust to us all!!
UPDATE-3/28- I just wanted to update you guys. It's been a rough couple of weeks. In a nutshell, at 6 weeks due to my fibroids, it was difficult to see anything other than a gestational sac..in fact they saw two. I spent a week worrying and last week at 7 weeks they saw a yolk sac and fetal pole but no HB. They also only now saw one sac. At that point my Dr. did not feel that it was a viable pregnancy and my beta #'s that day pretty much confirmed what he said but he wanted to wait until today and do a final u/s to be sure. Unfortunately, the u/s today also failed to show a HB which should have been present by now at 8 weeks. So...I am scheduled to have a D & C this week.
I am of course sad, but after last week's u/s I was expecting the worst today. The plan now is to do an unmedicated FET with my three frosties...so we shall see.
