my crib has an F rating??
I found a crib at babies r us that I like called the delta. On the website it got 4.2 out of 5. Yet I just checked baby bargain book and it got an F for lots of safety recalls. What would you base your purchase on??? Ty??

I got the delta lifetime from bru too and it looks pretty sturdy to me!

I looked at Delta until I read that in BB. So we decided to play it safe and not go with the Delta. I just wouldn't have felt comfortable.

Well I started looking at cribs through the baby bargains book and you know what, they give almost everything an F. It is hard to find any brands they rate highly that also look nice and are affordable. I would research the actual crib you picked. online they will also tell you if that particular crib was recalled. Maybe the other types of cribs were bad but that one was ok. Also which year book do you have? Maybe since the recall they have fixed their product.

We purchased our crib over 2 years ago for ds #1, but Delta had an F rating back then too & we decided not to get anything by them. Just like the pp I just wouldn't have felt comfortable.

i went by the book...i didn't necessarily pick everything that had an A rating but did stay away from items that had very poor ratings like F.

My DD's crib is a Delta and in 7.5 months we've had no problems and it's a good crib.

plenty of other nice cribs out there...

well, here's the interesting thing. the BB book also said that ikea cribs were perfectly safe and economical to get. but the delta is WAY more sturdy than the ikea cribs which we also checked out. the ikea cribs don't stay in place and you could practically flip them on its side. so i don't understand what exactly the ratings are measuring in that book. and what accidents happened with the delta crib that wouldn't have happened with the higher rated ikea crib?

I narrowed down my choices using ones that were highly rated by BB and then read reviews online and checked them out in the stores to decide which one to go with.

Same here
us too..Delta was cheap and that drew me to it at first but there were plenty others with no F rating
