My child will NOT drink milk....
DS was getting 2 bottles of milk a day until his 2nd birthday, when I "gave" the bottles to "babies who needed them" DS had NO problem saying good bye, but has not had a single drop of milk since.... (Like not even in his cereal, and he USE to love milk in his cereal)
DS never ever had anything but my milk or cows milk in a bottle (never any juice or water)....so he has no problem drinking from the cup....
He isnt a huge fan of yogurt, and its very rare he is given ice cream... He does eat a cheese stick daily, but other than that he isnt getting much dairy.... WTH do I do?
I have tried giving him milk in 100 different cups, I have tried strawberry milk, chocolate milk (and if you know me, and know that I dont even give my kid JUICE.... you know that this is a pure sign of desperation!!!!) I have tried cold milk, warm milk...he takes one sip and tells me... "no like, yuck!"
My DH and older son are HUGE milk drinkers (other than milk in my cofffee or milk with cookies or cereal, Im not into milk myself!) so Im at a total loss on what to do...
Any suggestions?

Re: My child will NOT drink milk....
Ds hasnt since giving up bottles. The ped was fine with it since he eats cheese and yogurt. I hate milk. Minimal in my coffee and none in cereal. We have tried everything. Once in a blue I can sneak a carnation instant breakfast in, if I let him drink MY instant drink.

Re: My child will NOT drink milk....
i wouldn't stress it so much..at his age there are other sources of calcium too. my 2 yr old DS is very allergic to all things dairy and has not had a bottle/cup of milk in forever. his health and growth have not been adversely affected by it at all. i talked to my pediatrician about it and she suggested a calcium supplement and foods fortified with calcium. sometimes they also jsut go through a week of not liking something and go back to it-so he might not be done with it just yet!

Re: My child will NOT drink milk....
this was my son...I put a tiny bit of strawberry powder in and he gets strawberry milk...one time, I was out of strawberry, so I put in a drop of red food dye and he was none the wiser....drank it with no problem...
It used to make me crazy too!

Hudson is the same. Miranda never drank milk. They don't need milk like we are taught to believe. He will be fine. Does he do yogurt/cheese? Or ask the doc about a calcium vitamin if he won't eat those.

Re: My child will NOT drink milk....
I am going through the same exact thing right now.
My DD will be two next week and the other day we stopped with bottles. Our ped said once she was two she didn't need the milk as much but I HATE that she isn't getting it.
My DD loves cheese so she gets probably 2-3 servings a day of just cheese. She used to eat yogurt every day but honestly isn't eating anything recently. She goes through cycles, I just can't wait until she eats yogurt again, then I will feel better.

I don't think there is much left that you can do! It seems like you tried everything.
My DD isn't a big milk kid either. I put ovaltine in her milk to flavor it and that worked for us. I also try to get calcium whenever I can. If I make her eggs, I throw a slice of cheese in there.

Re: My child will NOT drink milk....
I know so many kids who don't drink milk. My DS refused it for months and my ped wasn't concerned. He ate yogurt, cheese, etc. I personally don't drink milk ever--well only in coffee which is maybe a once or twice a year type thing for me. I just never liked it, even as a child. You just find other ways to get the calcium, etc.
