My birth story...
So I'm finally starting to feel like myself again and actually have a minute so let me share my birth story with you guys!
I went to the doctor on 3/15 and was still only 1cm, so we decided to induce he told me to go home get my stuff and go right to the hospital bc it was going to be a long night and he wanted to start things asap. We arrived at about 1pm.
When I got to the hospital they hooked me up to a monitor and told me I was already having contractions but they decided to start me on cervadil to soften up my cervix to get me to dilate.
After several hours, the contractions got worse and closer together but I still hadn't dilated at all so they gave me demerol rather than the epidural, at this point my dh had about 12 heads and I was knocked out for about and hour.
When I woke up I was now just in a fog but still in a pain so we went for the epidural. I might be a wimp when it comes to needles but holy c r a p OUCH! but so worth it, felt great after that, which was between 10-midnight. After that dh and I waited and slept, they kept checking me and NOTHING, still 1cm with a ton of pitocin and cervadil. At 4:30 am my doctor came in and gave me one more hour to dilate so he could try to break my water and as of 5:30am, 1cm still, c-section time.
At this point I just wanted him out and to know that he was okay, but I have to say it was pretty scary, I had a case of the shakes that I could not control and was so scared when they were setting up everything. The epidural I guess just wasn't cutting it and I could feel them when they tested me to see if I still had feeling, so they, WITHOUT TELLING ME OR WARNING, knocked me out with a twilight anestetic of some sort.
Next thing I knew dh was standing by my head holding the baby. All I saw were shadows bc I was so knocked out. After I came to they wheeled me into recovery and I didn't see my son for 2 hours after that, which kind of p i s s e s me off, but he's healthy, here and I couldn't be happier!!!
He was born 6:31 am on 3/16 and weighed 8'14, my little chubbs LOL

Can't wait to see them. How did he do with his first bath? Did Rob go back to work yet or is he still sick?

Kristin I had a c-section with Julia, and when I went to the recovery room I didn't get to see her till the next day! Dont feel so bad.....

congrats, great story, we had kind of the same experience except for the twilight sedation,. I know what you mean about that feeling when they wheeled you into the operating room....I was shaking as well  congrats
