My birth Story & Pics
I wanted to post my story and some pics. It has been a hectic week, but Emilia is a perfect baby. Good Sam Hospital was great and the nurses were all really nice. So here's my story.
On Saturday (11/3) I started having contractions around 5am, nothing to oserious but enough to know that I thought something would happen either Saturday or Sunday. I told DH and my mom that she was coming soon. Around 1pm I was still having random contractions, nothing too close together or extremely painful so I decided to shower. By 2:30 I decided to start tracking them and by 4:30 they were coming every 5 minutes or so. DH insisted I call the Dr., I thought we should wait since I had a similiar experience with DS and wasn't even dialated when I went to the hospital. I told him to conitnue making the stew for dinner because we had plenty of time, little did I know Emilia had other plans. So I called the DR (at DH's request), he said if I had enough discomfort to go to the hospital. I told DH take a shower and I will call my mom to come over to watch Alex. By the time DH took a shower, I was dying and we went straight to Good Sam at 5:30. We went straight to labor and deliver where I changed into a gown and was checked. I was 8cm  All of a sudden there are about 6 nurses and the on attending OB rushing around and getting me onto a bed to wheel me into a birthing room. It was like a scene from ER. I thought I was going to die because I knew it was too late for an epidural but I kept begging anyway. Nurses said "no way" this baby is on its way. While all this is happening, DH is in admitting signing me in. I thought she would be born without him there. Thankfully, he made it back in time. Once into the delivery room I pushed for about 25 minutes and she was born.
She weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.
