my back went out..
and i can barely walk. i had an injury about 3 years ago after lifting something and went to the chiropractor, and suddenly out of the blue today, triggered by nothing, same thing...
its amazing how crippled it can make you..  
i walk around our apartment with a rolling desk chair for support (i feel like i am 95 years old!) - i hope i feel better tomorrow and my weekend isnt ruined.

Feel better! Did you take anything for it (advil, etc?)
I have back problems and when I was in physical therapy they would put ice on my back for a while to numb the pain, then they would stretch me out... I don't know if heat or cold would be better though....

 I think my sciatic nerve is being "sat" on by the baby....the last 2 days if I turn or step a certain way....sheer torture!

I had that happen about 3 years ago and OMG it was awful. I have back issues but they never really bothered me then one day I literall couldn't walk I was in so much pain. I ended up getting a nerve block the pain was so bad.

i took alieve (sp?) - but it is horrible, i can't manuver my own body too well. then, some things make me laugh at myself how bad it is, and that just hurts even more.

Sounds like you have a herniated disc to me. I go to a pain management place to get treated for mine.

That happened to me a few weeks ago. I found that taking a hot shower and letting the water run on the painful area really helped.
I couldn't even pick up the baby. I was in pain for days. The Dr. had to give me a muscle relaxer to help ease the pain.
