My Baby Shower!!
My baby shower was this weekend!!!
It was really nice. I ended up crying when reading a few of the cards and a little bit when I was trying to give a speech, but overall it went well.
There were 26 people there (we paid for 30 but 4 never showed up  )
We got so many nice gifts!
We got a TON of clothes, all of them were newborn and 3-6 months. So my advice is don't register for clothes and if you want to buy clothes, stock up on 6 months, 9 months and 12 months because you will get so many newborn and 3-6 month outfits.
I only got 2 packages of diapers (newborn and size 1). No wipes.
I surprisingly received NO receiving/swaddling blankets. But I did get gifted many homemade quilts/blankets.
The big items that were purchased for us were the crib, the mattress, the baby monitor, the changing pad (those 4 were from my in-laws), as well as the rocker, the pack and play, the infant car seat, the high chair and the stroller.
We got a TON of books. Almost everyone included at least 1 book and so many gifts were solely a handful of books.
Some of the things we did not get were the bathtub or any bath related products (like no towels or washcloths or bath toys, etc.), the convertible car seat, receiving blankets (as i mentioned earlier), bottles, the playmat/gym, any breastfeeding related items (including bibs and the boppy pillow).
But the party was so special and I am just beyond thrilled!! I'm so grateful my parents threw it for me!!
