My baby is getting her ears pierced today! *** UPDATED WITH PICS*****
At her ped's office they said they can do it @ her 2 months appt along with her shots (that was last saturday) but I held off cause she was crying enough just from the shots.
BUT today we are going to get them done @ 11am. YAY! I think my daughter may possibly look even cuter!! I'll update with pics when I get back... WIsh us luck!!
P.S. Any advice from BTDT moms? My mom called and said to aim a little higher on the lobe so it doesnt stretch out? thoughts..comments?

My little girl did so good! Well to be fair they DID numb her ears. I was pleasantly surprised when they told me they put on a numbing cream. I waited 1HR and then they pierced her. She didnt even cry, she just got frustrated cause we were holding her very still. SHe has to wear the studs they put in for a month, then I can put whatever I want (YAY!)
Dr. said to put alchol 2X a day and twist them. For anyone that us hesitant but really wants to do it-- I highly recommend asking your PEd. about this numbing cream. (Ped. said most dont offer it, unless you ask). Here are some pics...

Looking a little sad lol- but at least she LOOKS like a girl now :)

your ped will really examine your DD's earlobe to find the right spot. thats when i learned my DD wasn't perfect- because she doesn't have symmetical earlobes.
i bf'ed and after the ped pierced her ears i put her right on my boob. if you bottle feed, bring a bottle or paci. my decision was spur of the moment but if i had known i would have given tylenol before i left the house.
can't wait to see pictures!

I want to pierce my DD ears so bad but my DH doesnt want me too..we argue all the time about it..lol..she is 8 months now i keep telling him I am getting it done before she is one.

Aww, whats his reasoning against it? My hubby exact words were "oh they can get them this young? Ok, do it" lol... he doesnt really have too much input on this "girly" stuff.
I would get the sticker ones, put them on her to show him how cute she would look and I bet he'll be convinced LOL.

Nope no nursing cover...although I might invest in one b/c Ive gotten "stuck" more than once in public and it would have been helpful.

Good luck I wish I waited for my daughters ears to get pierced I did them at the same time she recieved her 2 month shots and it was horrible.

Nope no nursing cover...although I might invest in one b/c Ive gotten "stuck" more than once in public and it would have been helpful.
definitely invest. i nurse EVERYWHERE. i have the bebe au lait nursing cover from BBB.

Ha good idea about the stickers!! lol..Hes scared she will get an infection because when his sister was little hers got really badly infected and my ears I only can wear gold. He keeps saying why cause her pain for no reason other than looks. I think he might let me do it for her 1st birthday. she got beautiful diamond cross earrings at her baptism that I wish she could wear and they are real gold.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one that thought that was way too long  I can not wait to get them pierced but I am pathetic and will wait for the ped to do them. Your DD"s pics just makes the waiting alittle bit harder
