My 6 week old not going to the bathroom
My DS is 6 weeks old and hasnt been pooping. At 1st he was going a few times a day then it was once a day and now he wont go at all. I called his dr the other day and they told me to use the thermometer to stimulate him. It worked that day and now its been about 3 days since hes gone last. I tried it again before but he hasnt gone yet. Is there anything else i can do for him? He has alot of gas and sometimes i can tell hes in pain but i dont know if its from the gas or not going to the bathroom. I feel so bad for my little guy.

ask your ped about giving baby a little water, or juice, or even chamomile tea (worked wonders for us).
on YouTube, search for Baby Yoga for Gas, this really helped my LO when he was gassy and needed to poop.

Thank you ! Ive been doing the baby yoga with him and its helping him get the gas out and he's a very happy baby after. I will ask the dr about what you said. Thank you again!

we had that issue with my DS when he was about that age. our ped suggested the same thing ... about an ounce or two of water or apple juice if he didn't go after 2 days. it did work for him ... and eventually the problem went away.

is he breastfed? breastfed babies can go up to 10 days without pooping and it's ok.

My 10 day old hadn't gone in two days. Ped said to give her a little less than an oz of apple juice. It did the trick.
