My 5 year old has a cold....question?

My DD has been sick on and off for about 2 1/2 weeks. I took her to the dr last week and they said its viral. Shes been coughing and runny nose, ALOT of phlegm. No strep or other symptoms. Since shes been sick shes been complainig that almost everytime she eats the food gets stuck in her throat or feels like its going down slow. When that happens she usually gets very nervous and starts crying and sometimes throws up. She even gets nervous before she starts to eat that it will happen. I told the dr last week whats been going on and she didnt seem concerned. I asked if it could be from all the mucus and she said its possible. Now people are worrying me saying something could be growing in her throat. Im taking her back to the dr tomorrow but i just wanted to ask here, hoping someone would have some ideas or advice. I would definitely do what you are doing and take her back to the ped
