my 2 yo is scratching the babies' faces
This is the second time that our daycare provider had to inform me that my daughter who will be 2 next week was scratching "her babies". It is normally over a toy. DD has an almost 5 yo sister and they will fight over toys so we have been working on taking turns and sharing. She does listen to us. I don't know what else to do. I feel like a bad parent. My little girl is so sweet and fun and loving. I don't people to think she is this "evil" and "violent" child. Any advice? This is making me feel guilty for not being home with my kids. I should be the one to have to discipline my baby, not someone else :(

Isn't that normal 2 yo behavior? I would think the daycare provider would be accustomed to having to watch toddlers closely around babies. Sorry I don't have any advice, I don't think there is a whole lot you can do other then continuing to reinforce sharing, being gentle etc at home.

thanks, this is the conclusion i have come to also. if it continues to be a problem or happens again at all i will gently suggest they keep a closer eye when the babies and DD are playing together.
