When do babies stop scratching themselves? DS gives himself a big new scratch everyday!

No matter how short I try to cut his nails and file them, DS manages to scratch himself. He's outgrown most of his long sleeve mitten cuff shirts and those no scratch mittens don't stay put. I tried putting socks on his hands but somehow the socks fall off as well.

DS is almost 3 months old and I know it's about time for him to start grabbing items. I just hate watching him scratch his head!

When do they stop scratching themselves???

DS wore socks on his hands for his 1st 3 months. It was horrible. No socks would mean a scratch. Bad ones too!

So I put socks on his hands every day.

It started to stop at around 3 months.

DD is 18 months and still scratches herself - heck I scratch myself on occasion.

DS is also 18 months and still scratches. Occasionally he still draws blood too. Chat Icon He has eczema, though, and the scratching is usually worse when he has a breakout.
