Katie has her pre-op testing/clearance tomorrow. but, I don't know if we'll be able to go ahead with the surgery on Tuesday.
Dr. Mittler is not in our insurance network and the insurance company is telling us that we have to pay the first $6,000 and then 50% of everything thereafter. Which means we could be looking at a bill between $15-$20k. We can't afford that.
DH is going to talk to Katie's ped tomorrow and see what they suggest. They were the ones who referred us to Dr. Mitler, so we're hoping they can refer us to someone within our network.
DH is going to call the ins co again too. I hate this insurance...Horizion Healthcare...it's by far the WORST insurance I've ever had.
I'll keep you posted, but I think we're going to have to postpone the surgery and at this point, with my Dad's cancer surgery next week, I think we're going to have to put Katie's surgery off until January. Plus, on top of everything else, we're having a crisis with my sister.
I need this year to be over with!

Oh Kath - you have soooo much going on
Is there any way Dr Mitler will work with you on the amounts? Maybe if you call and talk to their billing department
