Moving- Toddlers room

So Im moving soon and have to make a new room for my almost 2 year old dd. Her room now is a bit more pink than what I really wanted so Im going to make her new room lighter and a lil more beigy pink.

Should I try to make her room as close to it is now so she feels comfy?
OR
Can I just redecorate and go with new colors?
Furniture isn't changing or anything just paint and some décor in the room will.

Do you think it matters? Or am I just over thinking this? LOL

I don't think it matters. Because she'll understand it's "new" but at the same time have most of the same stuff. So I think you can repaint however you want as long as the room is sort of configured similarly to how it is now so that her routines kind of stay the same you know?

Moving- Toddlers room

I don't think it matters. I'm sure she will love it when she gets used to the change

Moving- Toddlers room

We completely changed DD's room when we moved. She was a little over two at the time. I brought her to the store and she helped me pick out colors. I also got her a huge Cinderella castle decall for the wall. It made moving into the new house a little more special since she got to move into her "princess" room.

Re: Moving- Toddlers room

We just moved into a new house and DS' room is totally different (he's 3.5). He has the same furniture, except he now has a toddler bed instead of a crib, but the colors and everything else about the room is different. We were REALLY worried about how he would adjust... especially throwing the bed transition into it... but he was 100% fine. He loves his new bed, sleeps great in it and he loves showing people his new room when they come see the house. I find that we don't give him nearly enough credit when it comes to changing things - more often than not, we completely overthink it only to have it be a non-issue. Chat Icon
