Moving to Stage 2 foods
We have a Drs appt on Saturday, but I was running low on Stage 1 so instead of getting a lot more of that I went and got stage 2.
Im just curious how does this work now with meat?
Do you give a veg and meat? or just the meat? are you giving meat 1x or 2x a day?
right now DS is eating a whole jar of fruit or veg 3x a day.

We started with the veggies and fruits in Stage 2 first. They have mixed veggies and fruits. I don't think I started meats until DS was closer to 8 months...

we started stage 2 about 3 weeks after stage 1.
sooo many more variaties and the only real difference is larger jars with more mixtures. we havent done any meats yet. will probably wait until he can handle real meat (little bits) to do meat.
he takes 1 stage 2 fruit in the am (can be a fruit oatmeal mixture)
1 stage 2 veggie in the pm - sometimes a veggie fruit combo or a veggie rice combo
LOVES them!

which brand are you using? we love earth's best and Wild by Nature (on long beach road) has a HUGE variety!!
they make veggie/fruit combos called "antioxidant" and they are the best!!

i do earths best and gerber. I try to do more earths best but target didnt have a big variety so I got gerber too

We didn't do too many meats. The ones we did though were mixed with a veggie.
I moved to stage 2 rather quickly, it was more cost efficient to buy the stage 2 foods than the stage 1 - and more variety.

we only use stage 1's just to try out the basics before we start mixing them. stage 2 has sooo much more variety and stage 2 is not as watery which is what my DD loves. now i have to thicken up her stage 1 with oatmeal.

I make DS food and at his 6 month well visit they told me to start on chic. So pureed organic chic and mixed it with sweet potatoes. I was doing 2 oz. of each and it was too much chic for DS to handle. So now I only do 1oz. of chic mixed with 2oz. of sweet potatoes, peas or applesauce. I also add a little cereal and BM to make it easier to go down.
He only has meat once a day for now- he's 7 months.
