thank you to all the ladies who recommended doctors in NYC. i ended up making an appt with a doctor at mount sinai's reproductive medicine center. i called RSofNY about getting copies of my records to bring to the appt and they're going to charge me 75 cents per page--what a bunch of d0uchebags! i've never in my life paid for medical records. it just further validates my choice to move on--a small price to pay for better care.

Congrats on finding a new Dr. I hope it works out. I truly feel having the right Dr for you is a big part of it. If you are comfortable with the dr and office then it takes a huge amount of stress off the process.

My previous practice wanted to charge me as well. Ask if they'll email them to u for free.

Ask them to email or send directly to the other dorc...they should charge u then

if the doctors office calls and requests them they should do it no charge. thats what I've found with other doctors I've been to. hope that helps.

You can sign a release and have your new Dr. request your records from your old Dr. There should be no charge. But just so you know...NYS allows Dr's to charge up to 75 cents per page if you want a copy of your records. It's an outrageous fee IMO but the state allows it and Dr's love the money.

thank you for the advice about having records faxed. i have consultations with 2 different doctors that i'm going to choose between, so i thought it would be easier to just get copies. maybe i'll just make them fax them twice.
