Moving here from TTC
Just introducing myself to this board. I have "unexplained" infertility aka they don't know what is going on yet. Great! I have had all the tests and nothing bad showed which is good at least. I was started on Endometrin last week b/c my blood test came back with a semi-low result (I was 9.5 when they wanted to at a 10). I have my Beta on Weds and AF was supposed to be due 9/7. Next step onto IUI.
Any tips/ advice about IUI? My hubby's a cop and his shift was just changed which does not work with TTC. I work days until 5pm and he leaves for work at 2pm and gets home at 2am Mon-Fri. At least we both have weekends off but this baby making business is going to suffer even more!

DH can probably freeze sperm if he can't be there for the IUI.

Welcome and GL.
We are unexplained as well. I hate not knowing what the problem is.
I had 6 IUIs. They aren't so bad. You might have some discomfort during the procedure and after. If you have questions about IUI just ask.

MY Dh works nights and was hard to come w me so our RE arranged him to freeze his sperm month by month

Hey....welcome...hopefully you won't be with us too long!! I have unexplained too...soooo frustrating!!
I don't know anything about the freezing sperm stuff, but if you do have to do IUIs, use a trigger shot this way you can time your ovulation based on your schedule. It sounds crazy, but I work shift work as well and would be so stressed out waiting for my  because I would be afraid that I would have to work.... With the trigger, its much easier. If he's off Saturday, you can give yourself the shot and know that the timing will be good..

Thanks for the info girls! I didn't even think about freezing the sperm or know about the trigger shot! I have a ton of questions to ask the Dr. tomorrow when I have my appt.

Which dr are you going to?
I go to Reproductive Specialists of NY in West Islip but plan to have the IUI done at the Stony Brook location.
