Motrin or Tylenol to help them sleep with teething pain?
What do you prefer, last night she was up every hour, now I have a migraine so don't want to repeat that again...

We have tried both, neither seems to work for us all that well. As a matter of fact, DD seems to get more wound up on the Motrin

Sorry! Just my experience...I was prepared for a quiet night, too...and she was up until 9:45--actually beating herself (think Heimlich) to stay awake

DD does that anyway during nap time, sometimes I think she's going to pull out the two strands of hair she already has just to keep herself awake ...

Re: Motrin or Tylenol to help them sleep with teething pain?
Honestly, none have worked for me!!! My DD has 7 teeth at 8 months, nuts...and i am not kidding when i say the last few months have been horrible..she has slept through the night maybe 4 times...what has just started to work for me are hylands teething pellets...and let me tell you, DD had 4 teeth on top come in all at once...these things have her sleeping more peacefully etc....Childrens benadryl, just a dab to the gums can sometimes help them get a little sleep if it is that horrible... My DD is up every night for hours on end sometimes...it sucks... I am actually using a Sleep Trainer out of Manhattan to give me a hand because it is so brutal i have maybe gotten a total of 7 hours sleep in 3 days...i tried CIO, well, she screamed all night for days and would go back to sleep after being beat for say, maybe an hour..ugh... Hang in there and I would pick up Hylands from CVS...they are working better than anything for me....pop them in the bottle if she wont take them by mouth....

Tylenol always worked for us.
Motrin can upset a baby's tummy...so just be aware of that

When my DS was teething I would also use Gentle Naturals... I think that's the name. It has Pooh & Eeyore on the bottle. Anyway, it is an all natural teething liquid, and it worked pretty well. You can get it at Target or CVS.
