Teething-do you use Tylenol or Motrin?
Tylenol vs Motrin . which one do you think works better for your child when teething? my 14 months old is getting her Molars and she is in so much pain.

Tylenol doesn't do much for DD. She hasn't gotten any molars yet but the ped. suggested we alternate Tylenol with the Motrin for more relief.

Generally, I don't give DS anything unless he is running a fever.
My rule of thumb that I use is anything under 102 is Tylenol. If the fever is over 102 I will give Motrin.

Thats exactly how I am , but at this point she is in so much pain I need to give her something. (no fever.) Ped said give her Tylenol or Motrin so that's why I am asking , can't decide which one I am going to give her tonight.

Motrin seems to give DD the most relief, but my ped also said to alternate with Motrin and Tylenol.

motrin is an anti inflamatory so its much better for those swollen gums

I use tylenol during the day and motrin for overnight...
I give those secondarily to her though. I give her teething tablets first.
