Mother's helper/Babysitter needed

I can't do this alone anymore...I am just so far behind on everything from bills to just being a human Chat Icon

I need someone for a few hours a week. Say maybe 2-4 hours like 2 times a week...

Any suggestions on anyone looking for P/T work like this? During the day?

TIA!

Hmm I was going to say put up an ad in the supermarket. But, you might get some weirdos.

Could you wait until after school hours to get a teenager?

How about contacting a senior center and getting a nice but, active old lady to come help?

Or maybe a college with an early childhood ed. program? Maybe they have someone who could come since they wouldn't have class all day.

My sister is a college student at Farmingdale. She has worked in daycare since high school. If you have an idea of the hours please let me know! She does have references!

I would think that teenagers would be your best bet - and unfortunately they would only be available afterschool (when your DH is coming home) as would a Mother's helper.

How about hiring someone to clean your house every other week? It's not expensive and will make a world of difference. It's also easier to keep up with once the big cleaning is done.

I'd be willing to work around someones elses hours if it was between 9am-4pm during the day. I dont need Thursdays, but any other days and times would work. I just need quiet time to get bills paid, run to the store, make appointments, laundry, clean etc...

Cleanings not my main issue, I can do that on the weekends. And I never sit down, I get that done during the day sometimes.

I cannot make phone calls without screaming kids and babies, I cannot run errands or leave them all till the weekends etc, I have certain Dr's whose hours are only during the day...and sometimes I just need an extra hand..like right now with Chloes Nebulizer treatments, feeding 3 kids, and that takes up almost all of my day.

The website for ordering their Baptism invites has been sitting on my laptop for 3 days now, and I get drawn into something else ( lif..lol), or feeding someone and never get to do things that require concentration. Chat Icon

I hired my nanny through Craigslist and I love her! She has been with me since dd was 3 months old. I did run my own background check though.

I would give it a try. You can start by having them there with you at home so you can observe, for as ever long as you feel comfortable and then start making short trips to run one errand until you feel comfortable.

Re: Mother's helper/Babysitter needed

Does Noah still nap? My saving grace has been to get the boys on the same napping schedule. They both go down between 1-2 and will nap until 4(Jack) and Tyler will sleep closer to 5.

That is the time where I pay my bills, return phone calls, clean up the house, make bottles etc.

DH gets home between 6:30/7 so it's strictly bath and bedtime at that point. Then I'm shot so I'm really no good at night at all.
