more complications with hyperstim
The roller coaster really has continued! I was pg with triplets when I was released to my obgyn last week. When I had a sono at that appointment, Baby C stopped growing and had no heartbeat, but Babies A and B were doing great. They are healthy identical twins! My obgyn told me to call immediately if I experienced pain or cramping because he was unsure how my body was going to react to Baby C. I woke up in horrendous pain on Sunday morning and called the doc right away. To make a very long (and exhausting) story short, I spent the day in the ER at St. Charles, was given a ridiculous amount of morphine and similar drugs (the equivalent of 50 mgs of morphine) to find out that it wasn't my body miscarrying Baby C (thank God), but my ovaries. They are still large and it seems like the cysts are rupturing or the ovaries got twisted around. I spent the night and thankfully did not need more meds.
So lesson.... do whatever you can to avoid OHSS and take very good care of yourself if it happens. I thought I was out of the woods.... the fluid in my abdomen is gone and the pregnancy was progressing well (at least for two of my muchkins)... but nothing is ever easy (as we ALL know)!
