More BedBugs at Great Wolf Lodge
Have you guys seen the post on FB? The original keeps getting deleted but someone took a screenshot and has been sharing it. Showing really gross pictures of bedbugs all over the bed and Great Wolf not giving the family a refund. This is not the old story, it is new. I am so skeeved!!!

I feel the need to share this considering the allegations going around FB about Great Wolfe Lodge and bed bugs.
First: The original post claims it happened at a location in Massachusetts.
Second: The lodge says it was just a SPIDER.

We would like to address recent claims on social media that a room at our Great Wolf Lodge resort in Massachusetts had an issue with bed bugs. This allegation has been proven to be untrue by multiple third party experts.
Great Wolf Resorts takes all allegations regarding the health, welfare and safety of our guests seriously. Late last week a guest at our resort in Fitchburg, Mass. claimed there were possible bed bugs in her room. We immediately responded to her and contacted an independent exterminator.
The exterminator conducted a thorough inspection and confirmed the resort did not have any bed bug activity; the guest had found the remains of a spider. In an abundance of caution, the City of Fitchburg Health Inspector also conducted an inspection of the room and confirmed the resort did not have bed bugs.
A photo that has been widely shared on social media was confirmed to be a spider by the exterminator.
The health and welfare of our guests remains our highest priority. We will continue to address each concern and question to reassure our guests they will have a safe and memorable experience at our resorts.

Excellent Research! Spider or Bed Bug I do not think they are handling things properly when confronted by a guest. If I found THAT in my bed I would expect the Hotel to go above and beyond in that moment
. Not after an exterminator has been contacted etc etc... Just my opinion.

That's a tough call.
We all know there are plenty of people out there that would use this and plant things in the room to get freebies. As a business you have to extremely careful.
Huge difference between spiders and bed bugs. From what I've seen on line, IMO I think they're handling this situation properly.

OK I don't care if that is a spider, an ant, a bed bug or whatever. The fact that there are BUGS in the bed is disgusting to me.
The housekeepers strip the beds after each guest (I HOPE!) and if they saw creepy crawlers of any type, why wouldn't they remove them?
So gross.
That place has skeeved me since before the bed bug stories. The rooms just don't look up to my standards when staying at a hotel.
And now after this and other stories i can say with certainty I'd never stay there. This seals it.
Go to Kalahari- it's clean and brand new

Totally agree. My kids have asked to go and I just cant. The idea of that place skeeves me out for some reason and the cost for that seems crazy to me.

We have been to this location (MA), and it's a nice property, all brand new in the wing we stayed in. With that said, we had an mini ant problem when my kids dropped one of the crackers they give you a sample of in your room. We were on the ground level. It wouldn't surprise me if they have spiders, they are in a wooded area. But, it's gross to find one in your bed. From looking at the pic I can't even tell what it is to be honest!

So dumb to not refund the family. They will lose far more money in the long run than if they just compensated the family and apologized.
