Money

Please tell me I am not alone in freaking out about money. It's okay right now but I am so worried about not being able to work at the end and right after baby. It's putting me into a panic Chat Icon

I know we'll just do it and make it work but please tell me you have moments of panic too Chat Icon

Re: Money

Oh very much.. i'm only working part time right now and when the baby comes i'm taking 4 weeks unpaid and DH is taking 2 weeks which I just found out is also unpaid so we are going to be really strapped... hence why I am only taking 4 weeks because I really can't afford to take off anymore

Re: Money

Big time... I'm trying not to think about it right now, but the way the ecomomy is now, both Dh and my business is really slowing! I am not much for big events or anything, but I am actually counting on a shower to help with some of the costs down the line

Re: Money

I just had to chime in. Once DH and I start talking about it, the stress gets overwhelming. We are taking our entire tax return and putting it aside for my maternity leave and that will barely get us by. I stress over the thought of all the added expenses. I'm already thinking about how we'll pull off christmas!

Re: Money

I'm panicking too. I work part-time so my leave will be unpaid. We are going to be putting money away over the next few months to help out at that time. I'm very fortunate that I have almost everything I need for the new baby saved from DD. We need only a few small items & some clothes, so that helps a lot. It's still scary that we'll be supporting two kids for a couple of months without my income. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Money

YES! DH and I are worried about how we're going to support not just the two of us, but THREE of us on $1000 less per month! (Since childcare is going to cost $1000 a month)

I'm sure we'll make it work somehow, but it is totally scary. You are not alone!

Re: Money

I get nervous at times, but we've worked out a budget. We'll really need to stick to our budget to make it work. It requires some belt tightening, but I believe it'll all work out in the end (somehow).

Re: Money

Every day of my life. That is all I think about. I thought that we couldn't do it with DS and we did - some how. Now we are having another and seriously this time I'm really freakin' out. It's totally normal. I have thoughts that our home will be taken from us....all sorts of craziness.
