Moms who went back to work when DC wAS 12 WEEKS

Did you get them on a schedule before you went back to work?

Nope- not even close. She was waking 1-2 nights for feedings (I was BFing).

I was on autopilot for a long time.

DD was somewhat on a schedule if you can call it that. She went to bed by 8pm every night. I did a dreamfeed around 11pm and then she woke between 4-5am for another feeding. I was also BF'ing. I would again BF right before I left for work around 7:30am.

I didn't say it was a good schedule!!!!! Chat Icon

When DS was 12 weeks he would wake up around 4-5 for a bottle then back to sleep until 8. Wasn't too bad.

Re: Moms who went back to work when DC wAS 12 WEEKS

He had already been on scheduled feedings by then (with his last bottle being at 10PM) and about 2 weeks prior had started sleeping about 8-10 hours a night.

We've had a few nights where he's woken up in the middle of hte night for a feeding - it's usually on days where he didn't finish his bottles during the day or didn't nap well.

He still gets a 10PM bottle, which I'm sure is what helps him sleep through the night.

Re: Moms who went back to work when DC wAS 12 WEEKS

More or less we did.

I had been working on a schedule since day 1 and I adjusted it according to DD... but I had a bedtime in mind and I put her down at that time every day from the day she came home.

I put her on a feeding schedule once I weaned her.

She slept through the night for the first time at 12 weeks... she did it 3 times that week. Chat Icon I thought that was very nice of her to do for me, since I needed all the help I could get going back to work.

I had them on a schedule. Only one was waking for a few weeks after I started working but I was only up once a night and I needed to pump at night anyway.

he worked his own little schedule out by then which included sleeping through the night. As long as that was settled the rest fell into place and it wasn't so bad. Daycare helped with the nap scheduling part because we never seemed to get that down.

A loose schedule - daycare wanted to know what his typical day was, so I started to pay attention to what he was doing and tried to "tighten" up the schedule the closer it got to when he had to go.

DD's scheduled really started once I went back to work - I remember the first night I went back she fell asleep on her changing pad because she was not used to getting up so early. Then after a couple of weeks she was used to it and her schedule began

Not sure who will be watching DC but I've heard Daycare does a pretty good job with scheduling.

Re: Moms who went back to work when DC wAS 12 WEEKS

i guess as much as we could as far as bath, feedings, bed. Of course it changed every few weeks. Some days he would sleep more, some less.

Both of my kids were sleeping through the night (11:00 pm to 5:00 am) and pretty much on solid schedules. Chat Icon
