Moms on Weight Watchers

I'M STARVING!!!!

I started WW on January 2, and I've lost 4 pounds so far!! Woo hoo!!

I had a WW muffin for breakfast and a Lean Cuisine and a yogurt for lunch. The Lean Cuisine was 7 points and the yougurt was 2, so I ate a whopping 9 point lunch, and what do I have to show for it - I'm so hungry I can hardly think straight!! Chat Icon

Anyone else in the same boat???

I started WW on the 7th and I need to figure out how to be more creative with my points to make them stretch. Chat Icon

Today for breakfast I had a low-fat bran muffin with apple butter...yum! and it was 4 points total. Chat Icon That was filling. For lunch I didn't get a chance to make anything so I brought WW bread, a banana and a TBSP of peanut butter...not bad at 5 points but left me with a sweet tooth Chat Icon

Don't ask me, because I am starving too! And I get a good amount of points because I am on the heavier side! I started on the 5th, and have no idea if I lost weight yet, but I went over my points in 4 out of 5 days Chat Icon

ETA: the good thing is that I've run the treadmill for 30 minutes every day, so that's a plus!

Right now I am munching on carrot sticks trying to figure out how to have a 9 point dinner and not completely starve!

I need to be more creative too! I end up eating the same things over and over.

Maybe we can help each other with some ideas?

That's GREAT that you are fitting in exercise!! You should be proud!

I am so mathematically challenged, I should be burning calories just trying to figure out my points!

I started on the 5th and I'm having a hard time adjusting. Chat Icon I get extra points for BFing and I think I am staying within the points but I'm not making wise choices. Not enough veggies and fruits-which is what fils you up! So I say eat more of those and drink, drink, drink!!!!

How about an Alba shake? Those fill you up! If you're still hungry, their vegetable soup recipe maybe?? Have you used your 35 points? Don't starve-use them! Chat Icon

Keep up the great work too! 4 lb. is great!!

Re: Moms on Weight Watchers

I'm starting this weekend and I am sure I will feel the same way.

Try to have some protein instead of carbs for breakfast - it should tide you over longer.

Re: Moms on Weight Watchers

Today marked my first full week on WW as well. At first I was hungry but I find if I eat more at breakfast, I'm less hungry later on.

For breakfast, I have Kashi Go Lean Oatmeal (2pts) and then 1 cup of plain fat free yogurt with 1/4 cup blueberries and 1 small banana mixed in (4pts). I also have coffee with skim milk. All in all, I usually have about 6-8 pts at breakfast.

For lunch, I have a chopped salad with baby spinach leaves, cherry tomatos, chick peas, celery, shredded carrots, and a small amount of grated parmesan. I don't put dressing on it because the juice from the tomatos and parmesan act as it's own dressing (comes out when they chop it up Chat Icon ).

For dinner, I usually make chicken, lean steak, fish or whole grain pasta with veggies.

I try to mix it up. When I get tired of salads for lunch, I have the Smart One's because they're easy to bring to work.

You can do it! Have you checked out the recipes on WW online? They're really good and pretty easy to make. Chat Icon

For snacks, I have different 100 calorie snack packs, Kashi cookies (or even regular cookies, just less of them), baked chips, or Skinny Cow ice cream.

I never realized there was so much I could actually eat until I really started following the plan by the book. It's hard at first but you can do it!

ETA: I drink tons of water, even seltzer, work out on my treadmill and take vitamins every day. It's all helped to think of it as something I'm doing not only for myself, but for the family. I want DS and DH to eat well and they will if I make healthy meals.

Re: Moms on Weight Watchers

what i do is i spread out my points during the day and I go to the gym 4x a week. For Breakfast I have a WW English Muffin with 1 tbsp peanut butter and either a banana or Apple with it and them I have a 2 point snack or a Gelnny's 100 calorie brownie which is 1 pt. I also like the MAster Choice wrpas from waldbaums/A&P they are HUGe and are 1 pt a piece.

I have that with 2oz turkey and either use a WW cheese Slice or some tomato to bluk it up.. Also 100 calorie popcorn is good too .. it is one 1pt..

For dinner I either have chickjen with lots of veggies, a salad or frozen veggies and a small potato .

Just and FYI.. Weight watchers has a line of cheese that is just starting to appear in the stores. There are portioned control of cream cheese and Cheese shreads. It is really good.. DH is the dairy Catergory manager for A&P and Got all the samples...the cheese slices are really good too.. 1pt and they melt really well...

Just try to remember that sometimes you have to look at the amount of food versus if it was easy to just buy a lean Cuisine. I had for lunch the Mcdonalds Cesear salad without the dressing and the croutons is 4 pts and I added chicken Mcnuggets 4 piece for 4 points as well...

I'm a long-time Lifetime member, who returned about 3 months ago. I've lost 11 lbs. and am proud to say that, as of yesterday, I'm 2 lbs away from goal!

Anyhow, for lunch I typically have a sandwich on whole wheat--for example, PB&J would be 5 pts. total and then a bag of 100c. SunChips which are 2pts.

I also "go small" for breakfast--a bowl of farina is only 2pts and I add butter for a point. Then I increase pts. w/each meal. BTW, popcorn is an awesome snack for almost no points!

Good for you and keep up the good work--you're doing great!!!!

Re: Moms on Weight Watchers

have you thought about doing the core program? I do core because

1. I can't seem to be organized enough to keep track of points

2. I am never really hugry - if I am hungry and want a snack or something I can have fruit or fat free cheese or popcorn without any guilt or points.

I felt core would also be a better option because Talia is always up early - and I go to bed late so it's a loooong day to stretch only 20 pts.

I just joined last week too. I find that the beginning is the hardest. Be sure to drink all of your water. It does make a difference. Good Luck!

Re: Moms on Weight Watchers

I'm doing WW too- but online! It really is hard! I have to remind myself alot that I'm not PG anymore, so I can't go nuts when I eat!

I eat alot of veggies! I really also enjoy cooking WW meals. Drinking tons of water helps too!

So far, I'm 30lbs lighter than my pre-pregnancy weight- and I really need to lose another 50-60! Its especially harder this time around (yes, I am a repeat offender!) since I have DD and can't exercise as much as I'd like!

Hang in there- we can all support each other!

I've literally been following WW since the night DS was born (I'm psycho, that's fine Chat Icon ) and so far lost 32 pounds! Now, I feel like my appetite has shrunk so it does get better!
