Moms of girls.. nail salon question. Success w/ pics!
Kaila is 3, and Im planning on taking her to the nail place with me. I wanted her to get a manicure, think its too young? She said she wants to go and seems excited, anyone have any experience with this?

My DD is 3 also. My MIL took her for a pedicure on her 2nd birthday and has brought her back two or three times. I thought it was cute. She's also painted her fingernails once or twice. I don't really like the manicure--but my MIL has no daughters and my DD is her first granddaughter, so if it makes them both happy and it's not hooker red, then I'm cool with that.
I'll add that I have no problem with what anyone else chooses to do on this subject. If you think 3 is a good age, it's a good age.

I never have, only b/c dd would never sit still long enough.
I did bring her in with me quick once when I was getting my eyebrows done and she complained about the smell non-stop, which was embarrassing.

I have brought DD on and off since she was about 3 (she's 10 now) and she has always loved getting them done (pedicures too !!)
The only thing I would suggest is to make sure they don't cut her cuticles at all. They might trim "fly away's" which is fine IMO, but I was always worried about infection if they cut them a lot.
Have fun with DD, and if it's her 1st time, maybe go out to lunch or something and make it a mommy & me day !!

Sometimes the only way I can get my nails done is if DD gets hers done too.
They don't actually give her a full manicure or pedicure. They usually just give her lotion and polish. She loves getting the flowers too.

My sister is 3 and she loves getting her nails done. The manicure usually lasts for all of 1 day but she does enjoy going and sits still and everything

Well thanks for the advice, she loved it!! She sat there like a little angel and watched contently as the nail lady painted her nails. When she was asked to pick out a color, Kaila said she wanted pink and white like mama lol  Image Attachment(s):

Whenever I get my nails done I see mom's bringing their little girls in and I think it's so adorbale. The little girls usually get a clear polish or like your little girl a pink and white. They seem so excited about getting their nails done and so proud when it's done. I think it is absolutely adorable. I love their excitement more then anything
