mentally my DD can kick my azz Chat Icon she makes me Chat Icon
but yes i think boys are totally different creatures!
my DS is ALWAYS on the move, walking isn't in his daily routine. it's always running, even just to get something across the room!
luckily for me he wasn't destructive really, just extremely active, on the go, likes to get dirty outside, gets food all over him when he eats, jumps from high places, climbs etc.
my DD is NOTHING like that!
I think that at about that age it was worse and as he's gotten older (will be 3 next month) it has subsided a little!
hang in there!
i will say that he is a lot easier than DD in many ways b/c he gets over stuff much faster and is much less moody so at least there is that!

I have two boys. My older DS is 3. He can be really difficult. He has such a challenging personality. He can throw a tantrum at the drop of the hat. He gets too hyper at times and is really difficult to get and sit to do a puzzle or color. He also has a problem with touching other kids. He will go up and poke the kid in the sholder or something like that. He just doesn't get not to touch other people who don't want to be touched. I get so embarrased at times, because it looks like I can't control my own child.
I have to say one good quality about him is he has always been really good at other peoples houses and stores. He never really touches anything. Even in my house, I have always been able to put up my christmas tree without out him really bothering with it.

My second DS is only 3 months, so we shall see. So far he is alot more easy going then my first.

My friend has two girls. One is exactly the same age as my oldest. She has always been so good. Her daughter at two would be the one sitting so good, while my DS was taking off down the street. My DS is usually the one yelling or causing problems, while her girl is doing a puzzle.
I even notice in his seperation class, the girls are just so calm.

First, I LOVE your post! Written really well and hilarious!

Second, my baby boy to a T! He has his moments where he is good, but for the most part, chaos abounds. His new thing is taking out the shopping bags out of their little container and packing up all his toys. There are bags strewn all over my house! plus once he's done packing them he dumps them all on the floor (angering the downstairs neighbors) and packs them up again.

Every time someone meets him i get the same comment "he's such a BOY!"

yes, yes he is. destructive, active, run around, spin around until dizzy, destroy everything in sight boy!

i know it's hard, but enjoy it. try to accept it and find lots of patience! they are trainable. they will listen. but like any man, you need to repeat yourself a million times before they hear you/get the message. Chat Icon

I have two boys...hope someday maybe I'll be blessed with a girl, but I'm extremely happy with my two boys.

With that said YES YES YES!! My 1st DS was a little monster. So loveable and happy BUT very ACTIVE, very Vocal, etc. He is 100% a handful. At 3.5 years, he has calmed down, but still more active for his age BUT he is so smart, and now has an attitude to go with it.

my 2nd DS is only 12 weeks but already seems more mellow than DS #1 was.

we will see. I will say even though there are days I want to pull my hair out, I do enjoy having a very active happy smart little boy!

This sounds like my DS!Chat Icon After he turned 2 years, he settled down a little bit but I think we have just grown accustomed to his wildman behaviors.Chat Icon Chat Icon
