Moms of babies @ 6 months....Christmas question
Forgive me if this has been asked before but what are you getting your DC's for Christmas? DS will be almost 8 months by that time. I'm thinking we probably wont go overboard this Christmas because he's so little. I mean he likes his toys but at the same time a kitchen serving spoon will keep him busy (yesterday he played with one for a half hour)  
What kind of things are you all getting? Are you going "all out" for their first Christmas?

WE're not going "all out" but not sure what we'll be getting him. Honestly I don't think we'll be spending more than $50-$100 on him. I'm more than sure he'll won't even pay attention to the toys we get him but will end up playing with the wrapping paper

Not much!
I am sure the family will be buying a ton of stuff but she is just too little to even understand it- so I feel it's a waste.
She doesn't really play with toys yet (she is 4.5 months) and we have no room in our house for big elaborate toys.
Maybe we;ll get her a few small things- but I have NO clue what

DD will be 7 months Christmas. I think we'll be getting:
Leap Frog Learning Table $40
Laugh & Learn House $75
My Pal Violet $15
I don't wanna buy anymore then this. Maybe I'll have someone buy one of these gifts as an xmas present instead of us buying it (My bro and SIL or Grandparents). Cause I don't want too many toys in the apartment OR I'll say buy clothes or give giftcards -if they ask.

My DD will be about 8 months as well.
We got her a few toys and I may wrap up some clothes for her that she needs. Not going crazy this year.

DD is getting mostly clothes in the next size up (since I needed to buy those anyway) and she is getting 2 toys right now.
That's all she's getting.

Landon was 7 months his first Christmas and really needed no toys. He got a wagon, push buggy car, picnic table, etc. When the weather got warmer we were all ready with these things!

DS will be 4 .5 months at christmas, we will probably get him some toys since he doesnt haveto many, but we are not going overboard.

we put on his amazon list ...
a toy box
walking aides
activity table
some bath toys
books
dvds
sneakers
a toddler bundle me
im telling family we would also like Target and BRU gift cards!

DD2 has so much of DD1's stuff that I can't get much (don't get me started on what my mother has bought)! She's getting a FP Incrediblock and the add on blocks, a little toy, and lots of her own books! I picked up some bibs too that she needed and I'll probably add some Puffs b/c she may be ready for them then at almost 7 months old.

i bought him dancing brobee and the leapfrog table last year, he was 5 mos
eta: a year later, they're still some of his favorite toys!

Emerson was only 3 months at her first Xmas and of course didn't need much but I bought stuff looking ahead that she would like up until age 1. Think ahead and don't get a bunch of stuff for his age now but things for ages 1 to 18 months so Shaunie will have toys all year to play with.

DD will be 7 months. We got her a music table and a couple of stuffed animals. That may be it. We have so many toys that we haven't even pulled out of the toy chest yet. I'm tempted to stick the small ones in her stocking!

DS will be 8 months also and isn't really in need of any toys and I know his aunts, uncles, and grandma will buy him a ton of stuff to play with. I'm currently taking him to Gymboree Play & Learn classes that he loves. They are up in a few weeks so for Christmas, we decided to sign him up for another 13 weeks (about $300) instead of buying him toys.....although I'm sure we'll end up buying him a few toys also.

I made a wish list for relatives who asked what she needs. It consists of:
1. ring stacker
2. nesting cups
3. fisher price stride to ride dino (push toy & ride on toy)
4. pop beads
5. bath toys
6. activitiy/music table
7. busy box
8. cause & effect toys (musical instruments, play phone, jack in the box....)
9. bath toys
10. clothes
Whatever she doesn't get from other people, we will get her along with the Ikea toy storage thing.

Not going all out. She has no idea what is going on so we are only going to get a few things for her to open so that we can take some pics and be festive. We will have MANY more years to splurge on Christmas!

LeapFrog Learning Table is the best! DS plays with it constantly and he's 7 months

We are not getting much. DS will be 6 months by xmas. We are getting him the Fisher-Price Cruise Around Activity Lion, an activity table, a few small rattle musical teething type toys.
Money is very tight and he is so little to really notice. I am sure that whatever we get him the wrapping paper and boxes will be much more interesting than the actual toy.

She'ss be 8 months too. I don't have anything for her yet  I may get one or 2 things but that's it. My family will get her a ton and she won't know what's going on anyway.

DS got very few toys from us last year...
a V-Tech Driver, the Tad Learning toy and a set of blocks....I knew he wouldn't really "get" it and he was getting plenty of gifts from other people.

I won't be getting her much. A couple cheap things. A few things because otherwise DS will wonder why Santa didn't bring her anything. The families get so much for the kids so I gave them lists of what she needs.
