Mom's of 2 or more:Nap schedule?

On this dreary day, I am looking ahead to the spring & getting the boys outside but right now they are on TOTALLY different napping schedules. BTDT mom's, how did you get your kids on the same napping schedule?

Right now JJ (17 months) takes 1-2 naps a day but his longer nap is in the late afternoon around 3ish.

Nicholas (6.5 months) takes 3 naps a day but his longest is from 12-2.

If I continue them on their schedules now, I will NEVER get out of the house!

DD (2 yrs) takes one long nap 1-4ish

DS (5 months) barely naps during the day (but thank goodness he STTN). He is a cat napper. We've been trying to get him to take a longer more solid nap in the afternoon when DD naps, but it's not working.

Therefore, DS really has no schedule, but he is content to go with the flow. I know as he gets older, he is going to need more structure. But I have a feeling, I have a no napper on my hands.

I think by summer your younger one will b ready to go to 2 naps. you can drop his middle one and try to make his long one a little later so they overlap. Also, your older son might go to 1 nap soon...mine did before he was 2.

I tweaked their schedules to get the long naps to be in the afternoon! I needed to!LOL Chat Icon

Re: Mom's of 2 or more:Nap schedule?

DS (23 mos) takes one nap from 11-2 appx.

DD (12 mos) takes 2 naps- one at 10 until 11:30 and one at 3 until 430.

When i want to go out, I let DD take her 2nd nap in the car or stroller so i can get out of the house at some point..

GL it is not easy!

Re: Mom's of 2 or more:Nap schedule?

DS #1 (2 years) naps from 230-4

DS#2 (15 months) takes a morning nap if we are out and about and will usually sleep for about an hour when ds 1 is napping.

DS #2 isn't really consistent with napping but if we are out and about he will nap if he is tired.

I usually go by my older guys napping schedule. Once it is nice and you can go for walks and the park you will get out and only worry about being home for one nap time.
